Greece: Industrial output growth gains momentum in February
Industrial output increased 4.4% year-on-year in February (January: +3.5% yoy). February’s upturn was largely owing to quicker growth in manufacturing and electricity supply output. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying production swung back to contraction.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output slid 2.5% in February, contrasting January’s 3.2% rise. Meanwhile, the trend improved notably, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.1% in February, up from January’s minus 1.7% reading.
