Ghana: Inflation decreases in February
Inflation eased to 52.8% in February below January’s 53.6%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and beverages increased at a slower rate in February, although prices for transport increased at a quicker pace.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 38.3% in February (January: 35.2%). Finally, consumer prices increased a seasonally adjusted 1.87% in February over the previous month, accelerating from January’s 1.73% rise.
