Germany: Inflation rises in June
Harmonized consumer prices increased 0.40% over the last month in June, following May’s 0.30% increase. The print reflected a notable uptick in energy prices, particularly due to pricier oil. This more than offset falling prices for food.
Harmonized inflation eased to 2.1% in June, down from May’s 2.4% print. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 1.1% in June (May: 1.2%).
