France: Industrial production rebounds in June
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding construction—increased 0.1% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, following a 0.1% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for energy improved in June (+4.2% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +3.1% in May). In contrast, readings softened for manufacturing (-1.1% vs -1.0% in May) and mining and quarrying (-6.2% vs -0.3% in May).
In working-day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production fell 0.1% in June, following 3.1% growth in the prior month.
