France: Business confidence bounces back slightly in October
Business confidence rose to 103.2 in October from September’s 101.5. As such, the index remained above the 100-threshold, signaling optimism among businesses.
The headline print largely reflected an improvement in sentiment regarding new orders both abroad and at home, which bounced back after three consecutive months of decrease. Furthermore, businesses expected production and employment levels in the next months also improved.
Nevertheless, the economic uncertainty felt by the business managers remained almost stable and remained above average.
