Finland: Harmonized inflation holds steady in February
Harmonized inflation held steady at January’s 1.1% in February. Looking at the details of the release, the result was driven by prices for transport and for housing and utilities falling at slower year-on-year paces, which offset an annual fall in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 3.2% in February (January: 3.8%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.0% in February, from January’s 3.3%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.66% in February over the previous month, picking up from the 0.34% increase logged in January. February’s figure was the highest reading since November 2022.
