Russia: Industrial production decelerates in July
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 0.4% in annual terms in July, following a 0.7% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in July softened for manufacturing (+2.4% in annual terms vs +2.8% in June) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-4.0% vs -1.4% in June). In contrast, the reading for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities improved in July (+2.8% vs -3.5% in June). Finally, the variation in mining and quarrying was the same as in the prior month (-2.6% in July and June).
In calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production increased 0.1% in July, following 0.2% growth in the previous month.
