Ecuador: Economic activity grows at marginally faster pace in April
Economic activity rose 2.7% over the same month of the previous year in April, according to the monthly economic activity indicator (IDEAC, Indice de Actividad Económica Coyuntural) released by the Central Bank of Ecuador. This was marginally up from March’s 2.6% year-on-year expansion.
In month-on-month, seasonally-adjusted terms, economic activity picked up, rising 0.5% in April. This marked an acceleration from a 0.3% upturn in March. Lastly, annual average growth in economic activity remained at 3.3% in April.
