Denmark: Inflation picks up slightly in December
Consumer prices fell 0.2% in month-on-month terms in December, matching November’s print. The fall was driven by lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Meanwhile, inflation ticked up to 0.8% in December from 0.7% in November, while annual average inflation was unchanged at 0.8%.
Looking ahead, a solid labor market, ultra-low mortgage rate and stronger domestic demand should lead to a modest increase in inflationary pressure this year.
