Denmark: Consumer sentiment falls to fresh all-time low in July
Consumer sentiment came in at minus 25.6 in July, down from June’s minus 24.8. July’s result marked the worst reading on record. As such, the index moved further below the 0-point threshold, signaling starker pessimism among Danish consumers.
The downturn largely reflected a deterioration in consumers’ assessment of their current financial situation compared to the past 12 months. Meanwhile, consumers’ views with regard to the general economic situation over the next 12 months also deteriorated.
