Denmark: Business sentiment steady in April; remains pessimistic
Business sentiment in the industrial sector was unchanged at March’s minus 14.0 in April. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the 0-point threshold, signaling sustained pessimism among Danish businesses.
Looking at the details of the release, April’s outturn chiefly reflected firms’ views with regard to stocks of finished goods becoming marginally less optimistic, while views regarding order backlog became slightly more pessimistic. These developments offset firms’ views with regard to production expectations improving in April and becoming slightly optimistic.
