Denmark: Business sentiment deteriorates to 17-month low in May
Business sentiment came in at minus 3.0 in May, down from April’s 4.0. May’s result marked the weakest reading since December 2020. As a result, the index dropped below the 0-point threshold, signaling pessimism among businesses.
May’s fall came on the back of firms’ weaker optimism with regard to production expectations. Moreover, views regarding order backlog deteriorated markedly.
