Denmark: Business confidence hits four-year high in July

Business confidence among firms in the manufacturing sector improved in July, with sentiment coming in at 6, above June's reading of 4. July's result marked the strongest sentiment in four years. As such, the index moved further above the 0-point threshold, indicating optimism among businesses for the fifth consecutive month.

Meanwhile, sentiment in the services and in the construction, sectors also improved in July. That said, confidence among firms in the retail sector turned less optimistic than in June.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect gross fixed investment to increase 3.5% in 2021, which is up 0.4 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 3.7% in 2022.
