Czech Republic: Inflation falls to over one-year low in July

Inflation came in at 8.8% in July, which was down from June’s 9.7%. July’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since December 2021. Looking at the details of the release, food and housing inflation rose more slowly. Moreover, transportation prices continued to fall at the same rate as in June.

In addition, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 14.3% in July (June: 15.1%).

Finally, consumer prices increased 0.47% from the previous month in July, accelerating from the 0.34% increase logged in June. July’s result marked the sharpest increase in prices since February.
