Czech Republic: Industrial output growth improves in March
Industrial output rose 2.3% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in March, which was above February’s 2.0% increase. March’s improvement was partly due to an improvement in manufacturing production growth. In contrast, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output fell heavily.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose at a faster rate of 1.7% in March (February: +0.4% mom). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 2.6% in March (February: +2.4%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
