Czech Republic: Industrial output deteriorates in November
Industrial output decreased 2.7% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in November (October: +1.8% yoy). Looking at the details of the release, November’s downturn was largely driven by a fall in manufacturing output. In addition, production contracted in both the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and mining and quarrying sub-sectors.
On a monthly basis, factory output fell 1.4% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, contrasting October’s 2.8% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at 0.0%, down from October’s plus 0.4%.
