Czech Republic: Industrial output dips in December
Industrial output decreased 2.1% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in December, which contrasted November’s 1.6% increase. The notable downturn came on the back of decelerating electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and mining and quarrying production.
On a monthly basis, industrial output dropped 2.9% in seasonally-adjusted terms in December, contrasting November’s 4.9% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 6.4% in December, down from November’s 6.8%.
