Czech Republic: Economic sentiment weakens further in September
The economic sentiment indicator, published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO), fell to 90.1 in September from 94.1 in August.
The business confidence index decreased to 93.6 from August’s 97.6. The result came on the back of weaker sentiment in the industry, selected services and trade sectors.
Moreover, consumer sentiment soured in September, with the index decreasing to 72.7 from 77.1 in August, marking the weakest reading on record. The drop reflected households’ intensifying concerns over the general economic situation and their own financial situation.
