Czech Republic: Economic sentiment weakens further in October
The economic sentiment indicator, published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO), fell to 89.8 in October from 90.1 in September.
The business confidence index decreased to 93.4 from September’s 93.6. The result came on the back of weaker sentiment in the industry and construction sectors.
Moreover, consumer sentiment soured in October, with the index decreasing to 71.9 from 72.7 in September, marking the weakest reading on record. The drop reflected households’ intensifying concerns over the general economic situation and their own financial situation.
