Cyprus: Harmonized inflation remains stable in February
Harmonized inflation was stable at January’s 2.1% in February. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and for housing and utilities grew at slower rates in February. That said prices for transportation fell at a slower pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 3.2% in February (January: 3.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 1.8% in February, from January’s 1.7%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.83% in February over the previous month, swinging from January’s 1.24% drop. February’s figure marked the highest reading since August 2023.
