Cyprus: Industrial production recovers in March
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 1.8% on a calendar-adjusted year-on-year basis in March, following a 1.5% fall in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in March improved for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+17.9% on a calendar-adjusted year-on-year basis vs -13.5% in February) and mining and quarrying (+2.6% vs +1.0% in February). In contrast, the reading for manufacturing worsened in March (-0.9% vs +0.5% in February).
On a calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production increased 1.2% in March, following a 2.1% drop in the previous month.
