Cyprus: Decline in industrial output softens in December
Industrial production contracted 0.9% year-on-year in December, falling at a weaker rate than November’s 3.6% slide and logging the best result since February. December’s softer downturn was largely attributed to a strong rebound in mining and quarrying output, as well as a softer decline in manufacturing production.
Meanwhile, the trend deteriorated further, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 7.9% in December, down from November’s minus 7.6%.
