Croatia: Inflation recedes to near one-year low in March
Inflation dropped to 10.7% in March below February’s 11.9%. March’s figure marked the weakest inflation rate since April 2022. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transportation increased at a softer pace in March. Additionally, housing and utilities price growth moderated. These price developments more than offset prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages growing at a stronger rate.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 12.1% in March (February: 11.8%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation fell to 10.5% in March, from February’s 11.7%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.90% in March over the previous month, picking up from February’s 0.16% increase.
