Croatia: Inflation comes in at highest level since October 2008 in January
Consumer prices rose 0.28% from the previous month in January, following a flat reading in December. January’s result largely reflected rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance.
Inflation came in at 5.7% in January, which was up from December’s 5.5%. January’s figure marked the highest inflation rate since October 2008. Annual average inflation rose to 3.1% in January (December: 2.4%).
