Croatia: Industrial activity deteriorates in December
Industrial output dropped 1.0% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in December (November: +4.7% yoy). The figure was due to deteriorating manufacturing production. However, electricity, gas steam and air conditioning supply growth accelerated.
Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.1% in December, up from November’s minus 0.2%. On a monthly basis, factory output fell 4.3% in seasonally adjusted terms in December, contrasting November’s 2.0% expansion and marked the worst result since April 2020.
