Croatia: Economic sentiment picks up in March
Economic sentiment came in at 112.7 in March, up from February’s 109.8. March’s result marked the strongest sentiment since September 2021. Consequently, the index moved further above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the industrial, construction and retail sectors. Moreover, confidence in the services sector and among consumers strengthened in March.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index decreased in March.
