Croatia: Economic sentiment improves in September
Economic sentiment came in at 105.0 in September, up from August’s 102.5. As a result, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier sentiment in the industrial and services sectors. That said, sentiment in the retail sector deteriorated in the surveyed month, as did sentiment in the construction sector. Finally, consumer confidence was up in September.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index rose in September.
