Costa Rica: Inflation accelerates slightly in March
Consumer prices decreased 0.03% in March compared to the previous month, contrasting the 0.29% in increase in February. The decrease in March was due to lower housing prices, in addition to transport prices.
Inflation accelerated to 1.9% in March, up from 1.8% in February and coming closer to the Central Bank’s 2.0%–4.0% target range. Annual average inflation ticked up to 2.2% from 2.1%.
