Colombia: Inflation comes in at highest level since September 2020 in April
Consumer prices increased 0.59% in April over the previous month, picking up from March’s 0.51% rise. April’s reading largely reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation rose to 2.0% in April from March’s 1.5%. April’s reading represented the highest inflation rate since September 2020. Annual average inflation ticked down to 1.9% in April (March: 2.0%). Core inflation came in at 2.0% in April from the previous month’s 1.7% increase.
