Colombia: Economic activity growth falls to 10-month low in February
Economic activity grew 3.0% compared to the same month a year earlier in February, which was a deterioration from January’s 5.9% increase. February’s notable weakening was largely driven by a deterioration in the agriculture sector. In addition, the industrial and services sectors lost steam.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, economic activity fell 1.5% in February (January: +2.7% mom), the worst result since January 2022. Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth fell to 6.6% in February (January: +7.0%), pointing to a worsening trend.
