China: Cumulative nominal fixed investment growth eases in January–June, but picks up in June
Nominal urban fixed asset investment grew 6.1% in year-to-date terms in June (May: +6.2% yoy). June’s reading was driven by easing growth in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors.
However, the year-on-year variation in fixed investment improved in the single month of June compared to May’s annual reading. Moreover, on a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, nominal urban fixed asset investment rose at a quicker rate of 1.0% in June (May: +0.8% mom), the best result since November 2021.
