China: Housing market loses steam in August
House prices in 70 large- and medium-sized cities increased 0.2% in August in month-on-month terms according to a weighted average index calculated by Refinitiv from data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The print was down from July’s 0.3% increase.
House prices increased 4.2% annually in August, down from July’s 4.6% increase. Annual average growth in house prices was stable at July’s 4.4% in August.
