China: Growth in house prices inches down in November
House prices in 70 large- and medium-sized cities rose 0.9% in November in month-on-month terms according to a weighted average index calculated by Thomson Reuters from data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The print was down from October’s 1.0% increase. According to the NBS, the sale prices of newly constructed residential buildings increased in 63 cities (65 in October).
House prices rose 9.3% annually in November, up from an 8.6% increase in October and the strongest print in over one year. Annual average growth in house prices inched up from 5.5% in October to 6.1% in November.
