Chile: Business confidence worsens in June
Latest reading: Business confidence index declined to 46.0 in June, following May’s 46.7. The latest reading was below the threshold of 50 that separates optimistic from pessimistic sentiment.
In June, firms grew less positive about the retail sector (+51.3 vs +52.0 in May) and the industrial sector (+44.7 vs +46.6 in May). However, firms grew more positive about the construction sector (+34.5 vs +34.3 in May) and the mining sector (+52.5 vs +51.7 in May).
