Bulgaria: Inflation edges up in February

Consumer prices rose 0.5% from the previous month in February, following January’s 0.6% increase. According to the Statistical Institute, February’s climb largely reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation edged up from 3.0% in January to 3.2% in February. As a result, annual average inflation ticked up to 3.0% from 2.9% a month earlier.
Bulgaria Inflation Forecast
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect inflation to end 2019 at 2.8%, which is down 0.1 percentage points from last month’s estimate. For 2020, panelists see inflation ending the year at 2.6%.
