Bulgaria: Inflation drops to lowest level since July 2021 in February
Inflation dropped to 3.3% in February from January’s 3.8%. February’s result represented the weakest inflation rate since July 2021. The slowdown was primarily due to slower growth in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
In addition, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.4% in February (January: 8.4%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation fell to 3.5% in February, from the previous month’s 3.9%.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.30% from the previous month in February, following January’s 0.52% increase.
