Bulgaria: Inflation drops to four-year low in December
Consumer prices rose 0.52% in November over the previous month, above the 0.11% rise seen in November. December’s reading largely reflected higher prices for transport.
Inflation came in at 0.1% in December, which was down from November’s 0.4%. December’s figure marked the weakest inflation rate since December 2016. Accordingly, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 1.7% in December (November: 2.0%). Harmonized inflation was flat in December, following November’s 0.3% rise.
