Bulgaria: Decline in industrial output softens in February
Industrial production dropped 5.5% year on year in February (January: -7.7% yoy). February’s smaller drop was partly driven by an improvement in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining production fell markedly.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output was flat in February (January: -4.0% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 9.2%, down from January’s minus 8.9% reading.
