Bulgaria: Industrial production returns to growth in March
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 6.1% on a year-on-year basis in March, following a 8.7% decline in the previous month. March’s reading was the strongest since April 2024.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, the reading for manufacturing improved in March (+5.3% on a year-on-year basis vs -0.6% in February). In contrast, the reading for mining softened in March (-25.7% vs -23.2% in February).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production increased 5.8% in March, following a 1.6% increase in the previous month.
