Brazil: Economic activity grows for second month in a row in December
Economic activity rose 0.3% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in December, easing from November’s 0.5% increase but still marking the second consecutive month of growth.
On an annual basis, economic activity grew 1.3% in December, up from November’s 0.9% rise. As a result, the annual average growth of economic activity came in at 4.5% for 2021 as a whole, contrasting the record 3.9% contraction clocked in 2020.
