Belgium: Industrial production contracts at sharpest pace on record in April
Industrial production slid 23.5% on an annual basis in April (March: -3.2% year-on-year). April’s result marked the worst reading on record. April’s figure reflected plunging output in the manufacturing and mining sectors.
On a monthly basis, factory output dived 15.5% in seasonally-adjusted terms in April, which was well below March’s 5.7% fall. The reading marked the worst result on record.
