Belgium: Industrial output deteriorates in November
Industrial production nosedived 11.6% year on year in calendar-adjusted terms in November (October: -6.5% c.a. yoy). November’s notable downturn was largely due to sharper drops in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production.
On a monthly basis, industrial output dropped 3.8% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, contrasting October’s 3.1% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.2%, down from October’s minus 3.9%.
