Belarus: Inflation rises to one-year high in August
Consumer prices increased 0.17% from the previous month in August, marginally lower than July’s 0.19% rise. August’s result was driven by rising prices for services and non-food goods, which outweighed lower food prices.
Inflation rose to 5.6% in August, marking the highest reading in one year (July: 5.2%). Meanwhile, annual average inflation was stable at July’s 5.0%.
