Belarus: Inflation falls in September
Inflation came in at 2.0% in September, which was down from August’s 2.3%. Looking at details of the release, price pressures for both food and non-food goods and services moderated from the previous month. That said, housing and utilities prices rose at a brisker pace.
In addition, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.4% in September (August: 8.7%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.70% over the previous month in September, contrasting the 0.30% fall recorded in August. September’s result marked the highest reading since February.
