Belarus: Inflation falls in December
Consumer prices rose 0.87% over the previous month in December, accelerating from November’s 0.51% rise. In detail, price pressures intensified for food goods and services, while price for non-food goods increased at a softer pace.
Inflation came in at 10.0% in December, down from November’s 10.4%. December’s result marked the weakest inflation rate since August. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 9.5% in December (November: 9.2%).
