Austria: Industrial output growth loses traction in October
Industrial production rose 0.8% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in October (September: +2.1% mom). Looking at the details of the release, durable consumer goods and energy output swung to contraction, while capital goods, non-durable consumer goods and intermediate goods production lost pace.
On an annual basis, production fell 0.6% in October, up from September’s 1.4% drop. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming at minus 5.8% in October, up from September’s minus 5.9%
