Austria: Industrial output bounces back in April
Industrial production rose 0.9% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in April (March: -3.3% mom). Looking at the details of the release, capital goods output rebounded and energy output surged. In contrast, durable and non-durable consumer goods production dropped.
On an annual basis, industrial production rose 1.0% in April, which was above March’s 0.1% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 4.2% in April, down from March’s 4.7%.
