Austria: Consumer confidence improves but remains pessimistic in November
Consumer confidence rose to minus 30.0 in November from October’s minus 31.0. November’s result marked the strongest sentiment since June, boding better for private spending dynamics mid-way through Q4.
The uptick in the headline was broad-based. Views regarding the financial situation of households and the general economic climate over the next 12 months were less downbeat in November. Moreover, views on inflation and labor market over the year ahead turned less sour, while consumers grew more inclined to make a large purchase in the next 12 months.
