Angola: Luanda inflation eases in April
Consumer prices in Luanda increased 0.97% in April over the previous month, ticking down from the 1.52% rise logged in March. The print reflected softer price increased for food and non-alcoholic drinks. On the other hand, prices for clothing and footwear, and housing, water, electricity and fuels rose at a stronger pace.
Inflation eased to 26.9% in April, below March’s 28.5% print. Moreover, the trend pointed down marginally, with annual average inflation coming in at 29.4% in April, up from March’s 29.5%.
