Angola: Inflation holds stable in May
Inflation held steady at April’s 10.6% in May.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down as annual average inflation dropped to 15.1% in May from 16.2% in April.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.95% in May over the previous month, picking up from the 0.92% rise seen in April. May’s result was the highest reading since April 2022.
Inflation is set to pick up in the coming months due to a fading base effect, the removal of fuel subsidies and a weaker kwanza.
